Pull hair tightly downwards toward your neck.
Keep your hair tight and begin twisting keeping hair towards your scalp.
Twist hair tightly in an upwards trend. If your hair is long, you will need to tuck the tips of your hair into the top of the twist.
While tightly holding onto your hair, turn the comb backwards against your hair and ease comb teeth into the bulk of the twisted hair as if you were combing your hair. You should feel tension if twist is tight enough.
While combing the hair into place, continue firmly pushing the teeth of the comb about half into the twisted part of your hair and begin turning the comb in and over.
While keeping teeth of comb about half way in twist gently turning the comb over so the front of the comb is now showing.
After turning the comb, meanwhile keeping the teeth in the twist, begin pushing the comb firmly into the back of the twist. You should feel tension as the comb locks into your hair.
Finally push the comb firmly into place. If done properly your twist should feel tight and not loose. This may take some practice to get your hair just right!
