Twist up hair tightly. Insert stick through hair. Lift stick upwards while holding hair firmly in place. Continue to push stick into hair in the opposite direction.

Push stick downward through tight twist in hair and you are finished. This may take some practice. If you would like to add another stick, simply push it into your hair from the twist side for a tight grip. Updo with two sticks.
