I have long and thick curly hair and this jaw didn't work for me at all. The grip is pretty good, the design is also appealing, except I got it in brown and the color didn't do much for my red hair. The problem I had with this jaw was that it doesn't open wide enough. For a shoulder length hair it might work though...

I got the chocolate wrapped jaw as a gift. I had always passed them up when shopping online as I thought they were too dressy or fancy for everyday as I work in a semi-casual professional office and wear mostly natural fibers like cotton & wool. The picture of this jaw online does not do it justice. It is gorgeous and can be worn both dressy & more casual. The silk is not overly shiny, the chocolate color is darker than what shows on my screen, but not overly dark - will go with most shades of brown including mocha & dark brown. I have blonde highlighted, just past shoulder length hair or longer, fine hair but lots of it. This jaw can hold it all. It opens wide and has exceptional holding power. It is not too big - looks well proportioned on the head. The chocolate is a great color for me (warm skin tone) but good for any skin tone. The workmanship is awesome, not something that will come unraveled (another concern I had, silly me). It is just a super well made and put together product.
